WILLIAM J. VIRGULAK, JR., ESQUIRE
William J. Virgulak, Jr. is a senior litigation partner with the law firm of Martell, Donnelly, Grimaldi & Gallagher, PC. in Fairfax, Virginia, where he specializes in civil litigation. He received his undergraduate degree, Cum Laude from Providence College in 1974 and his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law in 1977. He was admitted to the bars of the Commonwealth of Virginia (1977) and the District of Columbia (1978), including the U.S. District Court in D.C. and the Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria division, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Washington Claims Association and the District of Columbia’s Defense Lawyers Association.

In addition to his defense litigation practice, Mr. Virgulak has devoted a substantial portion of his practice to the representation of injured persons, and in 1995 successfully represented an injured pedestrian resulting in a structured settlement of over $7,000,000.00.

Mr. Virgulak has lectured to a number of companies, professional organizations and associations, including the Washington Claims Association and the D.C.-Virginia Claims Manager’s Council. He has received education and training in arbitration and mediation, has conducted arbitrations and mediations for over 5 years.  He is currently serving the Fairfax County Circuit Court as a Neutral Case Evaluator, and is a member of the Virginia Alternative Dispute Resolution Joint Committee.

Mr. Virgulak is currently a member of the Virginia and Fairfax Bar Associations, the Virginia State Bar, the District of Columbia Bar and The Bar Association of the District of Columbia. His reputation and experience as a civil litigator has earned him the highest Martindale-Hubbell rating (A.V.) for over 20 years.
